Entourage Setup

To complete your mail client's migration to the new server, please follow these instructions. Entourage may work normally after your account is moved, but these settings changes should still be performed.

  1. Launch Entourage.
  2. In the Entourage Menu at the top of your screen, select "Account Settings..."
  3. On the Account Settings pane under Server information, enter "urmail.richmond.edu" and check the box below it labeled "This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)."
  4. Click the "Advanced" tab at the top of that window.
  5. Under Public Folder Settings where it says Public folders server, enter "urmail.richmond.edu/public/" and check the "This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)" checkbox.
  6. Under Directory Settings, ensure that the LDAP server field says "athena" and the box is checked where it says "This server requires me to log on."  For Directory Settings, SSL should not be checked.
  7. Click "OK," and quit Entourage to save the changes.
Your settings have now been updated and Entourage is now pointing at the new server. The next time you launch Entourage the changes will take effect. If you send a message to yourself as a test and it doesn't seem to show up, check your junk mail folder and flag all messages from the richmond.edu domain as "not junk."
