E-mail Communications
To maintain the integrity of the University's e-mail systems, certain limits are in place on the volume and types of e-mail sent to and from University accounts. SpiderMail users can send a single e-mail to a maximum of 50 e-mail addresses. In Exchange, we recommend sending a single message to no more than 250 addresses.
If you, your department, or organization needs to send an e-mail to a large number of people on a regular basis, you may want to use Mailman, our list serv manager. To send a one-time message to a University-wide audience, use SpiderBytes.
Spam filters can be activated in any e-mail reader used for your Richmond account. Find out how to apply a spam filter.
To ensure that you receive e-mail attachments from trusted sources, review the list of file types that the system automatically blocks.
