Windows Mail Setup in Windows 8 for Students

  1. Open the Mail app from your Start Screen. 
  2. Swipe in from the right or navigate to the top right or bottom right corners to activate the Charms Bar and select Settings

  3. Select Accounts.

  4. Click on Add an Account

  5. Select Google

  6. Authenticate to Google with your full Richmond email address and password.

  7. You will be directed to the University of Richmond's Single Sign On page. Sign in with your NetID and password and click login.

  8. Verify your Google settings and press Accept

  9. Click Yes for Windows to remember your sign-in information. 
  10. Your email will now begin to download. If you need to modify server settings, please reference our IMAP Information.
