Installing SOPHOS Anti-Virus on a Mac

1. Go to wwws.richmond.edu/software and login using your NetID and password.
   
   



2. Click Sophos Antivirus for Macintosh.
   
   



3. Click Sophos Antivirus for Macintosh again. The file: Sophos_Anti-Virus_Mac.zip will be downloaded to your default download destination.
   
   



4. When you double-click the .zip file it makes a package called Sophos7.
   
   



5. Double-click on Sophos7. Put in your administrator username and password.
   
   



6. Sophos 7 will automatically uninstall any older versions of Sophos and install Sophos 7.
   
   



7. Once Sophos 7 finished click quit and then restart your system.
   
   



8. After your system restarts you should have the Sophos icon (Black Shield) in your menu bar.
   
   



9. To update Sophos click the icon in your menu bar and select Update Now.
