Issues with XP SP2 on University-Imaged Computers

EndNote v 8.0

EndNote has created a patch for EndNote to work with the new SP2 for XP. It can be downloaded and installed on your system. Please go to the EndNote site and run the patch.

QuickTime

QuickTime will need an update.

Select "Start," "Programs," "QuickTime," "QuickTime updater." Install all updates. 
If the Web site you are using provides you with an auto link, select the link. A popup blocker bar may appear in the top of your browser underneath the address bar. Right click and select "Open site." This is a feature of XP in Internet Explorer to prevent you from getting unwanted pop ups. It may block sites you wish to go to the first time. After you allow the site to appear the first time, it should not present further problems.

Spartan

Spartan is being blocked by a new local firewall installed by SP2. Contact the Help Desk so we can open the port locally on your system to allow the connection to the Spartan server to run the program.
