Teleconferencing
The conference feature of the University's phone system allows up to three parties, including yourself, in a conversation. Two of the parties can be on outside lines (off campus).
- Call the first person.
- After the first party answers, press the FLASH button or CONF key (if multi-line phone).
- Dial the next extension or telephone number (Whether on or off-campus, use the regular dialing procedure).
- When voice contact is made with the second extension, press CONF (or FLASH button if you do not have a CONF button). This will connect all parties.
- To add additional parties, follow steps two and three for each new party.
If you get a busy signal or no answer, hang up and dial the next number.
If you need to conference more than three parties, you may request a conference card from telecom.

- Full duplex speaker phone
- Clear reception
- Expansion mics for a large room
- Three parties can connect without using a conference card
- No limit to the number of parties involved when used in conjunction with the Qwest or MCI conference cards
