Android Exchange Online Email Setup for Faculty and Staff

To access your e-mail account with an Android device, please follow these instructions. (Please keep in mind that the appearance of these steps may be different based on the device that you are using, however the general steps should be similar.):

  1. Navigate to Settings > Accounts and click Add Account.

  2. For the account type, select either Corporate, Microsoft Exchange, or Exchange Activesync.

  3. Enter your email address and network passowrd and click Next.

  4. If configurations do not go through correctly and require a manual setup, enter the fields as following:
    Email Address emailaddress@richmond.edu
    Domain\Username emailaddress@richmond.edu
    Password Your network password
    Server outlook.office365.com
    Use secure connection (SSL) Yes
  5. Click Allow for Remote Administration.

  6. You may choose different account options and press Next.

  7. Click Activate for Phone Administrator.

  8. Name your account and click Done.

  9. After a few minutes your email should begin to roll in.

If you have any issues with the account setup, visit our Exchange settings to complete the configuration manually.
