    Keith W. McIntosh is the vice president for Information Services and chief information officer (CIO) at the University of Richmond where he has served since August 2016. Prior to joining the University of Richmond, Keith was the CIO at Ithaca College, CIO at Pima County Community College District, and held various progressive IT leadership positions during his distinguished twenty-four years of service in the United States Air Force including a combat tour in Northern Iraq.

    Mr. McIntosh was the first CIO to serve on the Board for the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) in 2016. He was reappointed to a second 3-year term in 2019 and tapped to serve on the Executive Committee as Board Secretary. His peers elected him to serve on the EDUCAUSE Board for a four-year term starting 2017. He served for three years on the Board Executive Committee; one year as Treasurer / Finance Committee Chair and his final year two years as Vice Chair.

    Mr. McIntosh created Intersections in 2016, where he has convened a weekly cross-culture conversation at the University of Richmond for students, faculty, and staff. Keith is also recognized and sought after thought leader having appeared on several podcasts, participated on panels, and delivered keynotes. He graduated summa cum laude from Trident University International with an MBA in information technology management and a BS in management information systems from Bellevue University. He earned a doctorate (Ed.D.) in Higher Education Management from the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania.

    Mr. McIntosh was named one of EdTech Magazine’s IT influencers to follow in 2023. He is the 2022 EDUCAUSE DEI Leadership Award recipient. He was recognized as the 2020 Capital CIO of the Year® ORBIE® Award Winner | Non-Profit Sector, for the Capital CIO Leadership Association. He also was selected as one of 30 Higher Ed IT Influencers by Ed Tech Magazine in 2020. He was the inaugural recipient of the EDUCAUSE Rising Star Award in 2011.
