AI at UR
Generative AI, at its core, refers to a class of artificial intelligence systems capable of producing original and innovative outputs, such as text, images, audio, code, and more, in response to given prompts. These systems are trained on vast datasets and learn the patterns, styles, and structures present in the data, enabling them to generate content that closely resembles human creations. One such system is OpenAI's ChatGPT, a language model, which allows users to interact with a computer in a more natural and conversational way.
The University of Richmond is exploring the potential of AI uses in education and research. Our faculty hub has been offering workshops and seminars demonstrating the capabilities and benefits of integrating AI into the classrooms.
