Get AI-Generated Meeting Summaries with Zoom AI Companion
For anyone who hosts virtual meetings in Zoom, the AI Companion is a great way to have a summary of the conversation, including a list of next steps as they were assigned to people in the meeting. This feature is free to all staff, faculty, and students at the University of Richmond.
Once you’ve turned it on, Zoom AI Companion will be on when you start any meeting where you are the host. Meeting participants are notified that the meeting is being transcribed. When you end your meeting, Zoom will send you your meeting summary via email (it takes a couple of minutes for the summary to be generated and sent).
In addition to meeting summaries, you’ll find a chat interface with the AI Companion on the main Zoom screen. You can prompt the AI Companion with any question.
Zoom AI Companion is turned off by default, so you need to visit your account settings on the Zoom website. Instructions on how to do this are available on SpiderTechNet.
Join IS team members for a virtual conversation about Zoom AI on Wednesday, March 19 from 2-3 pm. Sign up to attend by sending an email message to Kevin Creamer - kcreamer@richmond.edu.
