AI Resources - Fall 2026

Here is a quick overview of AI resources available now to University of Richmond faculty, staff, and students.

SpiderAI

SpiderAI provides Pro-level access to the latest AI models in Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini. There are no session limits or drops to models with reduced capabilities: credits are established prior to each semester and can be replenished through the Information Services Help Desk. SpiderAI offers more privacy than using the AIs directly, as user profiles are not created.

New this fall are ChatGPT 5.6 Luna, Terra, and Sol and ChatGPT 6 Astra, Claude Fable 5.1, and Gemini 3.6 Flash, 3.7 Flash, and 3.8 Flash. New models will be added throughout the semester as they become generally available. Assistants are also available, including Spider Study, Data Analytics Assistant, Research Assistant, and more. There’s even an Assistant Builder Guide Assistant that provides a walk-through of how to build a custom Assistant.

Box AI Home

Box AI Home is an enterprise AI application in Box that features data protection and security and is cleared to use with University Administrative Data, excluding credit card information. BoxAI Home integrates seamlessly with files you already have access to in Box. Information on how to use Box AI Home can be found on SpiderTechNet. Information Services also has a 2-minute video demonstration on working with Box AI Home.

Copilot

Microsoft Copilot Chat is an AI application that features enterprise data protection and security. Copilot is cleared to use with University Administrative Data. Be sure you are logged in with your University of Richmond credentials to receive enterprise data protections.

Zoom Meeting Summaries

Zoom meeting summaries use AI to transcribe and summarize Zoom meeting conversations. Meeting hosts are able to use this feature ad hoc or automatically in all meetings, with options to send meeting summaries via email to just the host or to all meeting participants.
